PIZZAZZ, KAZOOS AND ELECTRICITY

LIFE PIZZAZZ

Have you ever noticed how appealing Z is? Z as in zesty, zippy, pizza. As in, I really need to get my Zs - my sleep. (Comic strips use zzzzzzzz to mean Sleeping.) Being in the Zone, sometimes even zany.

Here's the deal. You have just so much time in your life. Maybe you'll come around again in another form, as some people believe, but this is the only chance you have to be You, with your unique collection of DNA, experiences, memories. Why not put some PIZZAZZ into your life?

You can start out gently if you want to. How about blowing some bubbles in the park? Sleeping on the other side of the bed, even though it feels weird? Wearing a color that's way brighter than your usual hues. Running through the sprinkler - OK, we'll save that one for summer. Thrilling your Beloved with an evening of outrageous splendor.

And that leads us to...

KAZOOS

Kazoos are the ultimate musical fun. They put everyone on a level playing field. If you can hummmm, you can play the kazoo. The vibrations from your hum cause a little waxed paper diaphragm to vibrate too, and the shape of the (ahem) instrument amplifies and projects the sound. You can get the same effect with tissue paper on a comb, but not the resonance and PIZZAZZ.

Imagine the entire Legal Department of a major Fortune 100 company forming an impromptu kazoo band! The WiZ was their leader, and she felt like Professor Hill in The Music Man, especially when the band swung into "Seventy-Six Trombones."

If you don't have access to a music store - yes, they are actually sold there - then go to www.kazoos.com and order a few dozen. Organize your own band, at a party, the office, or with your family. March out to the sound of your own music. And don't let anybody rain on your parade.
