Often feeling stuck is just the tip of what's underneath.

Remember when you and your beloved were still in the 'Getting To Know You' stage? You were each like a fascinating present waiting to be unwrapped.

Now you know your partner a lot better than in the beginning - but are you seeing clearly, or through the lenses of your own agendas?

Maybe it's time to see your loved one more deeply.

Give a Lover's View by answering these questions:

1. What does your loved one think about a lot?

2. How does s/he usually feel on a day-to-day basis?

3. What is this person's greatest hope?

4. What is this person's greatest fear?

5. Imagine your loved one as a child. What delighted or scared him or her?

6. Is there anything for which your beloved has a passion?

7. How have you contributed to who and how your beloved is?

When you feel the time is right, make a date to share your answers with each other. Then have a talk about how close you were to the other's perception of Self.

Remember, the point is to get closer - so do this exercise with respect and fondness, putting your complaints on hold.
